Free movies take the ’sum’ out of summer
Posted by JenniferI know it’s nearly summertime because yesterday I was emailed the list of free movies at Regal Cinemas by no fewer than three other moms. If you don’t know about the annual treat, it’s one of those ”I can’t believe this is really free” deals that have mostly evaporated in this struggling economy. And yet, in this stinker of a recession, these are precisely the kinds of deals that families appreciate. Every Tuesday and Wednesday, starting June 16, Regal Cinemas around the country open their doors for 10 a.m. movies on two screens each day. The concession stand is open, so you can buy popcorn, candy and drinks if you like, but you really can just go with your kids and enjoy a G- or PG-rated movie on the big screen for free.
